1. To save time, your instructor should have given you the following installer files and VM images for the
lab:
* Appliance.ova
* GNS3-1.5.3.dmg (for OS X)
* GNS3-1.5.3-all-in-one.exe (for Windows OS)
* GNS3 folder (configs, images, projects)
* VirtualBox-5.2.2-119230-OSX.dmg (OS X)
* VirtualBox-5.2.2-119230-Win.exe (Windows OS)
2. Install virtual box (use the relevant installer file for your host OS)
3. Double click Appliance.ova file to import the following VMs into virtual box:
* GNS3 VM
* ubuntu-1
* Ubuntu_Attack
4. Install GNS3 (select the relevant one based on your host OS). Please note that the GNS3 version
needs to be the one below since the installed GNS3 VM is for this version
* GNS3-1.5.3.dmg, OR
* GNS3-1.5.3-all-in-one.exe
5. Copy the contents of the GNS3 folder you received from the instructor (configs, images, projects)
and replace the contents of your installed GNS3 folder created by the istallation in step 5.
6. Start GNS3 and click Open a project to select IPv6_Sec.gns3 topology file.
If your host OS is Mac OS X, you might have to type in your host machine password to allow
permission for uBridge (this is to avoid running everything as root).
7. Follow the lab handouts for each topic from hereon.
