AIHce EXP
AIHce EXP 2022 debuted as AIHA’s
rst hybrid conference. On-site
events were held in person in
Nashville, Tennessee, while half of
the program was livestreamed to a virtual audience.
This year, the conference welcomed 2,848 in-person
and 1,135 virtual attendees.
The revamped conference featured two keynote
sessions, nearly 200 educational, pop-up, and
main stage sessions, 47 professional development
courses, 175 exhibitors, three learning pavilions, 14
innovation stations, 21 health and wellness sessions,
and six professional and student poster sessions. An
enhanced Nexus Lounge for students and early career
professionals featured a “Lessons in Leadership”
program presented by AIHA’s named award winners,
volunteer group and committee members, the
conference keynote speakers, other special guests,
and AIHA Board members. In addition, the conference
provided numerous networking opportunities for
OEHS professionals.
The association extends many thanks to our eight
key sponsors for the 2022 conference: Casella, SGS
Galson, Bureau Veritas, Dräger, DuPont, TSI, SKC, and
VelocityEHS.
AIHF hosted the 36th Annual Fun Run, with Amazon
as the premier sponsor. The event raised nearly
$17,000 for the foundation’s various scholarship
funds.
AIHce EXP 2023 will take place in Phoenix, Arizona,
on May 22–24, 2023. The conference will offer both in-
person and virtual participation methods.
Government Relations
In 2022, volunteer engagement
in government relations soared
by more than 260 percent
compared to the previous year,
demonstrating members’ high level of interest
in working with policymakers to protect more
workers and their communities. For example, AIHA
members were featured at a White House summit
on indoor air quality, spoke at the rst-ever meeting
of the National Integrated Heat Health Information
System, presented to more than 3,000 attendees
at an OSHA stakeholder meeting on heat-related
hazards, and testied on COVID-19 regulations. Your
fellow volunteers also commented on more than 50
legislative and agency actions, voicing their technical
expertise to policymakers to help improve the
health and safety of workers and their communities
throughout the nation.
This year, AIHA has a new set of public policy priorities
for noise, thermal stress, improving learning and
working conditions in schools, and encouraging more
students to pursue careers in OEHS. These policy
priorities will guide AIHA’s work and engagement
with policymakers through 2023 and beyond, while
still ensuring that other OEHS public policy issues are
covered.
The Hamilton Club’s primary goal is to further the

Alice Hamilton’s work exerted a profound inuence on the eld of industrial hygiene, AIHA’s Hamilton Club
partners are thought leaders and contributors who, through their innovation and expertise, are helping shape
the future of the profession.
Many thanks to all of our Hamilton Club partners that supported the association’s work in 2022: SKC,
