Defenders of Freedom Air Show 2024 FAQs
On Base Parking will be limited to DoD ID cardholders (this does not include Veteran Health ID
Cards), attendees that present verification of limiting disabilities, and premium ticket
holders. This parking is accessible via STRATCOM Gate located on Capehart Rd.Butler Blvd.
On-base bicycle parking will be available to all attendees
Tickets WILL NOT be required for parking or access to the installation. This is a FREE event for the
public!
- Highly suggest ride-share to the bus pickup zones as parking will be limited

Q- What are the show dates?
A- Saturday, August 24th and Sunday, August 25th
Q- Do I need identification to get on base?
A- Yes, all attendees need to present a valid photo ID at the air show entry control point if you
are 18 years of age or older. Foreign nationals will need to present their passports at the
check points.
Q- What does admission cost?
A- Admission is FREE! 55 FSS is selling premium seating which includes multiple perks not
included with free admission.

Q- Are premium seating tickets good for both days?
A- Premium Seating tickets will be sold for each day individually. There are no weekend
passes.
Q- Can I bring a cooler and my own food and drinks?
A- No coolers will be allowed. No outside food, drinks or alcoholic beverages will be
permitted. Food, drinks and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Baby
formula and essential medications needed by individuals will be permitted.
Q- What can I bring?
A- Clear bags will be permitted. We suggest suntan lotion, FILLED water bottles to refill at our
water filling stations, your own folding lawn chair and strollers and wagons to transport
children. All individuals attending the airshow are subject to search of their person and
possessions.
Q- What can I NOT bring?
A- Pop up tents, tents, canopies, or canopy umbrellas (See additional prohibited items below)
Q- What are the headliner acts?
A- This year we are excited to welcome the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the U.S. Army
Golden Knights practicing demo team. For a full list of performers at this years show, visit

Q- Can I buy a weekend ticket?
A- There are no weekend passes. Premium Seating will be sold individually for each day.
Q- Will ATMs be available?
A- Yes, we will have ATMs. However, we do suggest you carry cash with you.
Q- Do you oer bleacher seating?
A- No, but you may bring your own lawn chairs.
Q- Will there be food and gift vendors?
A- Yes, there will be concession booths where food and gifts can be purchased.
Q- Will there be shade at the Air Show?
A- General Admission (FREE) guests will be under an open sky with limited shade tents on the
ramp as well as a water fountains for those with refillable water containers. Guests are
encouraged to plan accordingly and bring plenty of sunscreen and stay hydrated. Premium
seat ticket holders will have the option of sitting in a shaded area.
Q- Are pets allowed?
A- Pets that are necessary for the person to function, such as guide dogs for the blind are
allowed. Emotional support animals are not authorized. Other pets are NOT allowed on the
Air Show grounds and cannot be left in vehicles in any of the Air Show parking lots. The heat
generated from the cement tarmac is unsuitable for pets. Please plan accordingly.
Q- Are cameras allowed?
A- Yes! We encourage guests to take and share pictures. Cameras and gear will be subject to
Security Forces inspection. Currently, there are no lens restrictions, but this can be subject
to change. To share photos, use #OuttAirshow #DefendersofFreedom on Facebook, X,
and Instagram.
Q- Is there a dedicated space for photographers to sit?
A- While there is not a dedicated area for photographers to sit/stand; there is no bad vantage
point to capture the air show.
Q- Are there other attractions around Omaha/Outt to see while in town?
A- Omaha oers many attractions including the Strategic Air and Space Museum, Henry
Doorly Zoo, and Old Market/Capitol districts located in the downtown area. For more info,

Q- What will happen in the event of bad weather?
A- If severe weather occurs and results in evacuation of the flightline, spectators will be
ushered o base until a determination is made to continue/discontinue the show.
All ticket sales for premium seating are final and will not be refunded. However, in the event of
a weather cancellation refunds will be granted.
Outt AFB Prohibited Items
1. Ammunition and Explosives
2. Fireworks, Firecrackers, Bottle Rockets
3. Drugs and/or Drug Paraphernalia
4. Any firearms, pepper spray
5. Any dagger, dirk, switchblade, butterfly knife, stiletto knife, Machete, or any other unusually
dangerous instrument capable of inflicting cutting, stabbing, or tearing wounds is prohibited.
6. Brass or iron knuckles. They are defined as any instrument that consists of finger rings or
guards made of a hard substance that is designed, made, or adapted for the purpose of inflicting
injury by striking a person.
7. Items specifically designed or modified as an oensive weapon are prohibited. These
include, but are not limited to, modified baseball bats, ax handles, clubs, blackjacks or chains.
8. Conducted electrical weapons (CEWs) or stun guns, such as Tasers. These items are
defined as any item intended to be used as either an oensive or defensive weapon that is capable
of temporarily immobilizing a person by the infliction of an electrical charge
9. It is prohibited for any person to possess, display, or handle any weapon, to include
replicas and realistic looking toy weapons, in a manner that causes public fear, public disorder, or
concern for public safety.
